Thank you for the opportunity to run for office again.
If I get elected, you can look forward to solutions to some serious problems:
- A permanent and ongoing solution to our never-ending water shortage. We do not have a water shortage problem—we have a water management problem.
- I vow to freeze your home taxes and, in some cases, to cut them.
- I will make the necessary changes to the systems in place to answer the issues of our housing shortages for the working, poor and new families wanting to live in Sechelt.
- I plan to hold Victoria accountable for our abysmal ferry system and the deplorable state of our country road that they laughably refer to as a highway.
- I have every intention of revitalizing the downtown core and making it a place to shop and to visit once again.
- Crime: Keep in mind that previous Councils are responsible for importing questionable new citizens of ill repute to our beautiful community and past mistakes must be dealt with immediately. The new Council will be held accountable for their actions not their words.
My lovely wife Barbara and I have lived on the Coast for over 32 years, and we are almost considered locals. I was President of the Men's Fastball League for 12 years and played up until its suspension 2 years ago due to COVID. I owned and ran the last two pool halls and bowling alley's on the Coast. We are proud to call one of the most beautiful places on the planet home and plan to work very hard to keep it that way.
Prior to moving to the Sunshine Coast I was a Newspaper Publisher and spent 10 years publishing for the Canadian Armed Forces.
